Interview with someone who lived in Carnoustie and now lives in London.

Q: Are things cheaper or more expensive in London?
A: Things are a lot more expensive in London so that means people get higher wages to help them pay higher prices.

Q: What kind of transport differences are there between London and Carnoustie?
A: London has excellent transport links :- trains, buses, boats and airports.  One thing that it has which Carnoustie/Dundee doesn't have is the Underground.

Q: What is the underground?
A: The underground is a good way of getting around but it gets very busy in the rush hour.  In the summer it gets very hot and uncomfortable and when it breaks down it causes a lot of problems.

Q: What sort of things is there in London to buy that you can't buy anywhere else?
A: Some shops like Marks and Spencer's sells clothes that you can't buy anywhere else and London has a lot of specialist shops for different things like cheese, wine and chocolate.

London Diary Of Jamie Reynolds.

Well, on Sunday we all met at Dundee train station at 10:30. We departed the station at 11:01 and then we were on our way! Yay!

I sat beside Ryan, Connor and Craig. We arrived at kings cross at 18:15 which was later than we expected to. We rushed tea and then we went on a walk to downing street and Buckingham palace.

On Monday we went on an open top bus tour then the London eye and saw all the sites from the top. After we came down and had lunch, then we took a boat trip down the Thames. After that  we went to the Aquarium.

Then on Tuesday we walked through Regent's Park to the London Zoo for it opening at 10:00.  We had lunch there then left and walked to the Science Museum at 14:30.  We went to Pizza Express for our evening meal, and when we got back we were allowed to visit other pupil's rooms in the hotel and it was the Champions League semi-final between Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC. (so you can bet we enjoyed it!!)
